Up Island Productions has the capacity to create impactful visual media for your organization, company or non-profit. We take the best practices of large-scale broadcast and commercial production and tailor it to our clients’ needs. Below are some recent projects.
Clockwise from top left: a promotional video for a revered District of Columbia learning institution, the Beauvoir School, edited by Ensemble Media, a studio shoot for the Ford Foundation’s the Future is Hers project, an advocacy video for the Vera Institute of Justice targeted at local legislators, and a video we shot and edited for the Potomac Conservancy about an Olympic athlete.
Vera Institute of Justice
Working closely with leadership and communication staff, I crafted a video to introduce and explain one of the organization’s core projects. The video works both as a longer piece and also in smaller cuts to be used for stakeholder presentations, social media and fundraising.
Anacostia Watershed Society
For several years running I have worked together with the Anacostia Watershed Society, a non-profit dedicated to river cleanup and conservation here in Washington. These videos have screened at annual fundraisers and have been used to highlight the organization’s work and recognize collaborators.
Potomac Conservancy
This spring I shot and edited a project for this river conservation group to look back at the organization’s history of stewardship on the Potomac River and call attention to continuing efforts. The project screened at their fundraising gala and re-edited vignettes will be integrated into the release of their annual report in fall of 2019.
You can check out past projects with DC City Wildlife, End Time Harvest Ministries, CAIR Coalition, and others at my Vimeo page here.
